TOP PLANTATION TOUR SELLER - Oak Alley for 10% OFF via Code PLANT13

Combine the top two plantation tours New Orleans has to offer, with these wonderful plantations that are less than an hour away from the French Quarter. Take the day and be transported back, listening to stories of Louisiana's past.

Begin by heading over to The Laura Plantation a tour stems beyond the myths of the American South and walks in the footsteps of the generations of a real Louisiana Creole family, both free and enslaved. Enchant yourself in a story told by knowledgeable, passionate guides about REAL people, free and enslaved, and how they REALLY lived on this 1800’s sugar plantation. The ever-evolving story transports you beyond the myths of the American South into the lost world of Louisiana Créoles.
Next, travel up the old River Road to Oak Alley a powerful testimony to the rich history of the antebellum south, Oak Alley invites visitors to explore all facets of her plantation past with a full plantation experience. The Slavery at Oak Alley exhibit, Civil War exhibit, and Big House offer an experience as compelling as the plantation’s 25 historic acres and 300 year old alley of oaks. No other visual experience in America better exemplifies the “Old South” than this spectacular quarter mile of live oaks, circa 1839.
