- Please note Laura Plantation's 10:00am, 11:20am, 12:00pm, 2:00pm & 3:20pm tour times. Customer MUST contact Laura Plantation in order to schedule their tour time as tours are scheduled to keep up with social distancing guidelines. You should mention having purchased your ticket through TripShock.
- Due to the historic nature of the plantations, access to the second floor is by stairs only. No photography is allowed inside Oak Alley Plantation home.
- Tour has limited handicap accessibility.
- Pets and service animals not permitted.
- Please be aware that there are no taxi or ride-sharing services available in the New Orleans Plantation Country area to bring travelers back to New Orleans.
- Annually On July 4 & Dec 24, the last tour at Laura Plantation is at 12 noon.
- Although not required, it is appreciated and encouraged to tip your tour guides.
- There are gift shops and restrooms located on-site at both destinations.
- Laura Plantation opens at 9:30 am and the last tour is at 3:20 pm.
- Oak Alley Plantation opens at 9:00 am and closes at 5:00 pm.
- Lunch is available at Oak Alley for an additional charge.
- Allow at least 6.5 hours for tours and driving time.
- Free parking is available at both locations.
- Children 5 & under are free of charge.
- No tours on Mardi Gras day.
Special note regarding the "Big House" exhibit at Oak Alley Plantation: Guided visits begin at 9:30 a.m. until 5:00 p.m. with a reduced capacity of groups of up to 8 visitors. Second floor is not handicap accessible, an IPad video is available for viewing second floor tour. All other exhibits open at 9:00 a.m. and close at 5:00 p.m.
