There are plenty of tours in New Orleans, but only the Mardi Gras World tour offers a real, behind-the-scenes look at how Mardi Gras is made. Our knowledgeable guides take the mask off Mardi Gras with an all-access tour, winding through the massive studio where these magnificent floats are built from the ground up. The hour long tour is fun for all ages and with our convenient shuttle service, transportation to our facility is easy from top tourist destinations. Unlike many attractions in the city, we are open 7 days a week and are completely indoors- perfect for that rainy day. Come learn about what makes New Orleans famous: Mardi Gras!

    Glad we chose this attraction

Wanted to go to this tour my last trip 10 years ago. This time we made it and am very happy we did. Now we are psyched and want to come for a Mardi Gras so it's on our bucket list. First time using Tripshock and ended up booking 3 tours - always great to save some $$

    Interesting but missing activity

The tour was very informative. It was interesting seeing the artists work (when they were working, as many had their feet up and playing on their phones). The tour guide was really great and the king's cake was yummy. Unfortunately, I was expecting to have my daughter make a mardi gras mask of her own at the end of the tour as described in tripshock, but the activity was not available. For the price, I expected the activity. It would have been more entertaining for my daughter. The gift shop was nice, but had random things that didn't seem to relate to the actual experience of the tour. It would have been nice to have mask making capabilities to do at home or something to that degree.

Thanks for booking with us and for sharing your feedback. Mardi Gras World is definitely a terrific place to visit and I'm happy to hear you enjoyed it overall! They do offer mask-making sessions, however those are geared more towards groups (15 person minimum), so I'm sorry to hear they didn't have that to offer that date. We actually don't advertise that on our site or list that on our vouchers, so you might have read about it in online reviews. Thanks again for booking with us and sharing your experience. Hope to see you next time! TripShock Guest Service Manager

    Ruined at the end

The tour of Mardi Gras World was fun, my second time with different people, but the drive of the van that takes you back wouldn’t let us on without our beads that act as your ticket. Other people also. We were never told that we had to keep them for the return ride. My first tour a month earlier didn’t require the beads. Plus the driver rudely said, “Ticket”. We said “What ticket” he said “Your beads like everyone else has”. We had to go back in and get them out of the trash. They really need to retrain the driver and update the policy to tell people to keep them. The stupid part is you have to show no ticket when you get on in the Quarter to go to the tour. How do they know where you’re going then?

Well done, lots of interesting information. Fun facts. See the process start to finish. We were not rushed, had time take it all in. Thanks for a great New Orleans experience!
