Types of Fishing

Bottom Fishing: The most common way of fishing techniques, used to catch fish that are found near the sea floor.

Light Tackle Fishing: A method of fishing where the angler uses a flexible rod to cast live bait or a lure. Typically used inshore or on lakes where the water is shallow.

Check the ticket descriptions to see what type of fish you are likely to catch on each trip.

  • There are no bathrooms on board, but the captain is close enough to shore to make a pit stop if needed.
  • The captain will fillet and bag any fish that the customer catches on the trip. Please tip appropriately for all the hard work that is done on the trip.
  • There are no guarantees that the customer will catch the target species.
  • If it rains, charters will still go out fishing depending on the customer preference. However, if there is excessive fog, wind, or lightening, the trip will not go. Trips are always decided based on the captains discretion. Trip will either be rescheduled or refunded.
Cancellation policy

Customers that cancel up to 48 hours prior to arrival will be given a full refund minus a $100 cancel fee plus $5 service fee. Customers that cancel after the 48 hour period will not be refunded unless the captain has to call off the trip due to inclement weather. In this case, another day will be scheduled or the customer may opt for a full refund. Customer may make changes to the reservation without any fees as long as it's outside the 48 hour cancellation period.

Great guide

Fishing was tough due to cold front and wind, but our guide was persistent and found a couple of good spots and we caught fish. Guiding is easy when everything is biting, but when they’re not good guides are important. We caught our dinner!

We had a great time and caught several fish...would recommend this charter to anyone. I had my 78yr old father in law and my 12yr old son with me. We all had a great time.

Multiple issues, 1st we should have never been on an offshore trip. The boat, tackle, and captain were setup for inshore fishing. The time frame was set for the afternoon, luckily I was able to speak to Captain Chris a couple days before the trip for him to tell me that he had us down for a morning tour. We found out minutes before the trip that we had to purchase bait, but when we got to the bait boat there was no bait. We spend 1.5 hours trying to catch bait and still didnt have enough, we fished with dead bait most of the trip. The boat was undersized, we got soaked to the bone from a wave. The trolling motor was broken so we spend it most of the trip just trying to navigate back on the fishing hole. After a few cut lines I noticed the hooks were all undersized. I am Louisiana fishermen I know the difference, we were using trout hooks for Mackerel and Snapper which is a problem.. Other than spending a ton of money for a poor performance, and ruined our clothes with fish blood and slime and got soaking wet Captain Chris was very nice. His spots were good if we could have actually fished on them..

My husband and son had a fantastic experience with Captain Chris. They were the only two on board and caught redfish and speckled trout that Captain Chris filleted and package up to bring back to our rental. They even had an encounter with a sea turtle!!
