6 hour offshore trip
We had a good experience on this trip. We caught triggerfish, red snapper, mingo snapper, grouper, amberjack, amicojack, porgy and others. The tackle was a little tough to use and was not for someone who was not in pretty good shape and strength. I wouldn’t recommend a 6 hr. trip - we only fished about 3 1/2 hours total due to travel. An 8 hour day would have been better. John was great making sure we had everything we needed and steering us onto how to catch more fish.

Pre hurricane trip!

We went out 2 days before hurricane Michael, 6-8 foot seas. It was questionable when we left. Everyone onboard caught fish. It was a trip I will never forget! Excellent captain and crew!

Excellent Trip

Was a great trip, the crew were very friendly, kind and helpful. I took my 13 year old grandson and 6 year old granddaughter. At first my grandkids were a little sad on the ride out. But they soon made friends with the other kids on the boat. We caught lost of fish had fun reeling them in, only 2 we could keep. But overall was really great time for my grandkids. So it was a win

Highlight of my trip!
Had an awesome time. The Captain kept us on fish all day. The mate (Danny) was great and worked hard the entire trip. Back at the dock the fish were cleaned and we took them straight to Brotulas Seafood Restaurant where they cooked them up perfect. It really was the highlight of my vacation. Thanks!

Had a blast

Me and my son had the best experience ever on a fishing trip, Tropical Winds Captain and his crew worked hard and gave everyone on the boat a chance to see what it's like to reel in a big one if they wanted to try it. Caught a lot of fish would highly recommend this 8 hour trip and this boat and crew, thank you all we will be back.

Great time, my 5 yr old grandson loved it. The only thing I’d say is maybe have some smaller rods and reels for the little guys. They were to heavy for him to reel. Overall it was a good time

The weather wasn’t the best. We only caught about ten small fish with ten of us fishing. The staff smoked cigarettes on the boat. They filleted the fish horribly and the worker had a wound on his thumb with a soiled bandage on it. It cost us $1260 for 4 hours AND there was a tip jar that stated “20% tips”. The captain stated the workers only worked for tips and didn’t get paid anything but the tips. So we spent almost $1500 for 10 small poorly filleted snappers. We were expecting something a bit different than we got.
