Venture deep into the Maurepas Swamp Wildlife Management Area and explore some of the most secluded swamplands in all of Southern Louisiana. Enjoy this tour with an eco-minded company and one of the few swamp tours in Louisiana that doesn’t feed alligators. Believing in a balance and respect for nature, this customized flatboat and pontoon boat navigates through shallow waters, getting you deeper into the swamp than most tours can. See more quiet and isolated areas and spot more wildlife that hasn’t been scared away by passing boats. Small group size of six ensures that you get a chance to ask our local naturalist captain all the questions you want. Glide around wide river bends, look out for alligators and cranes and admire scenic passages lined with cypress trees and Spanish moss. An experienced guide shares fun facts about the wildlife, ecosystem, and life in the bayou. The Maurepas Swamp is located halfway between New Orleans and Baton Rouge. Book your spot today!

Wonderful evening tour

We had a great late afternoon tour. Relaxing and informative way to spend the end of the day.

Even more than we'd hoped for!

We couldn't wait to go with a naturalist in a small group swamp tour, and the trip was even better than we'd hoped for. Our captain and naturalist were really nice and knew so much about the swamp, its vegetation and living creatures. Because they're on the water every day, they're attuned to small things that we would never have picked out on our own--the growth of the baby bald eagle! the posture of the alligators ["don't mess with us"]! and the incredible cypress trees and how they develop the soil. Fabulous trip!
