Parking: Free parking is available off-site at 513 Harbor Blvd, Destin, Florida 32541 about 200' from departure location. Two vehicles are allowed per boat rental.
Departure Details: This rental departs from 500 Harbor Blvd, Destin, FL 32541 which is located on the South side of US Hwy 98 on Destin Harbor across from Taco Bell at 500 Harbor Blvd. Please arrive at least 30 minutes before departure. For any issues, please contact your provider, Sunshine Watersports, at 850-837-2299.
Boater’s License: A Temporary Florida Boater’s License is recommended and may be required for your activity! All drivers born on or after January 1, 1988, MUST obtain a license. Adults born BEFORE January 1, 1988, may operate a boat or personal watercraft without a Florida Boater License, so long as they have a valid driver’s license. However, in the interest of safety, we recommend that all drivers take the test and familiarize themselves with important boat safety rules. Gratuities: Although not required, it is always appreciated and encouraged to tip.

Great Place to Rent!

We got there early, 30-45 minutes before our reservation & they were very accommodating 
We even ended up extending 2 hours at the end of the day getting 6 hours for a great deal! Will be back in july to do it again

Rent a pontoon for Sunshine pontoon rental! It was our children and ours favorite thing to do on vacation in Destin!! 

The deckhands are awesome and so helpful!! Tip them well, they deserve it!!


We ventured out to Crab island(check the tide schedule and go during high tide), but save time to just cruise the water, enjoying the gorgeous water, the sun, and the wind on your hair!!

We had a fantastic experience with Captain Chandler! The boat was the perfect size for our group of four adults. We got to see dolphins playing in the boat’s wake, multiple rays gliding through the water, and even a small shark. Crab Island was fun but what we enjoyed most was cruising the waters and enjoying the beautiful natural scenery. We all agreed this adventure was the highlight of our vacation.

We rented a pontoon boat for a half day and  anchored at Crab Island. It was so nice and relaxing…we easily could have stayed the full day.  Will do a full day next time.

Check in process was very slow and the lady in the trailer was not as pleasant or as helpful as she could have been.   The guys by the dock were great and very pleasant and guy on a golf cart was do extremely nice and took our items and one of our friends who had trouble walking down to the dock on the golf cart.  Very much appreciated.   Thank you

Only 2 of our 6 total guests made it for this adventure due to uncontrollable circumstances. Nonetheless, we had a great time! As it was my first time ever being on or near the gulf coast and seeing the white sands and clear blue water. My sister being the other guest that made it. It was nice to share the experience. 
Our captain was friendly and knowledgeable, despite the suprise of just 2 guests attending, he had some funny jokes and kept us entertained the whole time. 
Our only downside is that our guests didn't come along, otherwise I will totally recommend this charter/website to others heading to the area.

From beginning to end, it was PERFECT! Booking with Captain Ron was a breeze. He is extremely thorough and the process was explained very well. Captain Ron did a great job choosing our Captain. Captain Jason had a sense of humor that kept us laughing all day. He was a perfect fit for our group of 5 ladies! Captain Jason took us to see dolphins, sharks and turtles. Great experience.  Called ahead to find help locating a pontoon service to accommodate wide range of passengers from kids to grandparents including handicapped accessible. This trip was everything we hoped for and more:the perfect adventure for our kids to safely explore the clear waters without worrying about strong waves or riptides. Paddle boarding (our version of it!)quickly became the family favorite, and to top it all off, we even spotted a dolphin gliding by!
