Enjoy a four hour, 5-star Master Naturalist led eco-tour! An adventure of the Great Mississippi River Delta. Retrace the steps of the earliest founders in establishing “La Nouvelle Orleans” in the Great River Delta and follow its development as one of the most unique and diverse cultures, ecologies and economies in the world. Take an excursion outside the hurricane levees into the vast marshes of the Delta. Experience the centuries- old harvesting of seafood – enjoyed in New Orleans celebrated restaurants- by fisherman living in stilted homes poised tenuously against storms. Watch pelicans and wading birds in marshes stalked by alligators, a delicate ecosystem imperiled by coastal erosion and rising sea levels. See the remains of shoreline forts from the early 1800s, and relive the improbable military victory that catapulted Andrew Jackson to the presidency. Learn how storms and floods have shaped the region, and marvel at the formidable new flood, hurricane and water management innovations in the region.

Once the tickets are booked online, print out your voucher and please call at least 48 hours prior to confirm the booking. Arrive at 8:45 am for a 9:00 am departure in front of the Sheraton Hotel New Orleans, 500 Canal Street. Guide will meet you at curb in front of hotel.

Parking is available at the Sheraton Garage with entrance on Camp Street next to the hotel and at the Marriott Hotel across the street. Both of these garages charge a parking fee.

● If the weather is unfavorable and the vendor calls off the tour the customer will be offered a reschedule or full refund.

Cancellation Policy
Customers who cancel prior to 1 week in advance will receive a full refund minus a $5 service fee. Customers who cancel up to 7 days in advance will receive an 80% refund minus a $5 service fee. Customers who cancel after the 7 day mark will not be refunded. If weather is unfavorable for your tour, another day will be scheduled or the customer may receive a full refund. No shows will not be refunded.
