The National WWII Museum is a remarkable must-see attraction in New Orleans that illuminates the American experience in the war that changed the world. Ranked the #1 Attraction in New Orleans, the Museum’s collection of artifacts, interactive exhibits, and moving personal stories conveys the war’s epic story in a way that informs and inspires, educating today’s generations about the price of freedom and honoring those who gave so much to secure it. Self visit our LA Memorial, US Freedom and Campaigns of Courage Pavilion. Start your visit in the Louisiana Memorial Pavilion which features galleries on D-Day in Normandy, special temporary exhibits and the HomeFront. Follow in the footsteps of the American citizen soldier in the Museum’s newest pavilion, Campaigns of Courage Road to Berlin and Road to Tokyo Exhibits. Witnessing History

The National WWII Museum was the highlight of the attractions we visited while in New Orleans. There is so much history available to watch, read about, and observe at this museum. We spent hours there and didn't even get to see everything. Loved it!

By far the best wwII museum ever

Absolutely the very best wwII museum I have ever been to. This is a must see. Wish we lived closer so we could spend more time there. This was the highlight of our trip.

Great experience. I took an old friend from Houston.

Facility has expanded since I was there in the mid 2000s. Parking garage had easy access. I had reservations so that line was short. Guides were helpful. I suppose I could have had better information, prior to the visit, about the restaurants and theater shows, times, prices and dates which were available during the week. Some were sold out that day. The museum exhibits and videos were great. The video with my friend Walter Imahara, about the Japanese internment camps, was presented very well. Also enjoyed the D-day video, the Doolittle video and many others.
