on our way to new orleans via Lubbock tx, very informative and lunch was fantastic down stairs . My wife and I would definetly be doing more plantation trips after this one.
Beautiful home & location!
This place is amazing. The history behind this place had me saying "WOW" the whole tour. Our tour guide was very informative not just about Nottaway, but also of the time peroid dating back to pre Civil War era. I think we will be going back again when they have the Christmas lights on.

The tour was amazing, the tour guide was super friendly and he was very knowledgable about the property and the vast history of the home. He made it fun and enjoyable for everyone in the group!
This was my second time visiting Houmas House and it was even better than the last! We decided to start with lunch first at Cafe Burnside and omg it was incredible. The buffet is worth every single penny! The fried catfish was literally the best I've ever had and the bread pudding should have some kind of award! After we stuffed ourselves silly, we met up with our tour guide, Suzanna. She rang the bell and started our tour off with a bang! When you enter the house, it's like hearing that "AAAAAaaaaaaAHHHHHH" theme music. It's so gorgeous inside. I love all the stories that are told about the home and its' antiques, art and artifacts. Esp the vampire slayer kit from anne rice! This home is handicap accessible as well as are the grounds. The grounds actually remind me of a botanical garden. Go check this place out and ask for Suzanna as your tour guide, you won't be disappointed!
Our tour guide was awesome. I think her name was Sue Ellen, Bobby Sue, or something like that. Super knowledgable, super friendly, made the whole experience come to life for my wife and i. Thank you for a great experience.

It was very educatimg
Very easy to make reservations. I did mine by phone. Laura Plantation was the best tour. Logan our tour guide was very knowledgeable and very friendly. Oak Alley we did not experience this.
Our tour guide Al was incredible. We were worried our kids aged 7 and 5 would be bored but they were able to listen and learn as well. The plantation exhibit is well thought out and brings the horrors of slavery to life whilst also giving us a glimpse of life of the owners through generations. Only thing is that it wasn’t made clear At the time of online ticket sale that you cannot take self-tours but rather have to wait for the scheduled ones.

We visited San Francisco & Houmas House plantations. They were both different, but I think being able to see both gave a better perspective. San Francisco plantation actually gave us more thorough history.
This trip was 5 star. It was great being with friends and family sharing wonderful memories. The meal at Houmas House was fabulous.
The trip was really nice. Just maybe if we could have had a 12 passenger vehicle to bring us rather than caravan in our own cars. The Houmas House was absolutely beautiful, tour guide was great, lunch was delicious. San Francisco house was nice.
