Frequently Asked Questions
Most Miramar Beach-Sandestin deep sea fishing charters depart from the Destin Harbor. Please be sure to review your TripShock voucher for the charter boat’s location, and review the cancellation policy and restrictions prior to booking. Miramar Beach is about 10 miles from the Destin Harbor, but during peak season, it could take almost an hour to get there. Be sure to account for traffic when mapping out travel times.
Unfortunately, we cannot guarantee that anyone will catch any fish, as they are wild animals. However, with an experienced captain and crew that knows all the local sweet spots, your chances of bringing home dinner are extremely high. They don’t call it the “World’s Luckiest Fishing Village” for nothing!
You will be allowed to keep what you catch, as long as it is in season and meets all regulations put in place by the Florida Fish and Wildlife Conservation Commission. Most charter companies will even fillet and bag any keepers for you, so there may be some delicious fish tacos in your near future!
This will vary depending on the charter you select, the duration, and what’s in season, but popular species to target when deep sea fishing in Miramar Beach include amberjack, mackerel, grouper, triggerfish, snapper, cobia, and more!
The bait, tackle, fishing license, and all necessary fishing gear are included when you book your deep sea fishing charter! All that’s left to do is pack a cooler, grab a camera, sunglasses, and sunscreen, and hook yourself a giant snapper!
