1. Does my pontoon come with a captain?

Pontoon rentals do not come with captains, and while this may sound intimidating, the deckhands at your rental location will show you everything you need to know when it comes to driving a pontoon boat. Before you know it, you’ll be an expert on the water!

2. Do I need a boater’s license?

To rent a pontoon in the Orange Beach area, visitors do not need a boater’s license. The person booking the rental must be 21 with a valid driver’s license and credit card, and the driver of the boat must be at least 19 with a valid driver’s license.

3. Can I take my pontoon in the Gulf of Mexico?

Pontoons cannot enter the Gulf of Mexico due to rough surf and strong currents. Pontoons are best enjoyed in the bay exploring the outstanding Orange Beach Islands, and beyond!

4. How many people are allowed on a pontoon?

Most rental companies have a maximum of 10-12 passengers per pontoon boat. Please review the restrictions before booking, as it will state the maximum capacity for the vessel you selected. Boats cannot be used as a shuttle, and each person on the boat, regardless of age, counts towards your grand total.

5. What types of boats are available to rent?
