Parking: Parking is available on-site at 9706 Barataria Blvd., Marrero, LA 70072. The 22-mile drive takes 35-45 minutes in normal traffic conditions. 
Departure Details: Experience located at: 9706 Barataria Blvd., Marrero, LA 70072. You have chosen our Swamp Tour that includes transportation, you will be picked up curbside at your hotel. Pick up times are at 8:00 AM, 10:20 AM, 12:30 PM or 3:00 PM (seasonal) daily, depending on which tour time you selected. We use our sister company, “Alert Transportation” for the ground transportation service. We ask for up to 30 minutes for the pick up service. Our drivers go hotel to hotel for the pick-up process. Travel time is about 35 to 40 minutes to the swamp tour dock from New Orleans. After arrival, you will go to the ticket booth to get your boarding pass. You will be on the swamp tour boat for 1 hour 40 minutes. As soon as all passengers board the minibus after the tour, the driver will return you back to your hotel. For any issues or to confirm, please contact your provider, Louisiana Tour Company, at 504-689-3599 OR 504-628-4938.
Gratuities: Although not required, it is appreciated and encouraged to tip the tour guide.

Swamp tour guide was awesome!!

Despite down pours of heavy rain, our guide was great. We did see one gator and some wild life. The small gator on the boat was a special treat for my 6 year old who loved the experience. Kudos to a well thought out tour with interesting history! Definitely recommend!

The Tour Guide was awesome. Unfortunately, I can't recall his name but he was humorous and a risk taker too. He actually opened the side door and splashed water while throwing marshmallows saying "EC" or "TC" which he said the gators understood that mean come here. Unsure how true that is but is was entertaining to hear him call out. When the gator swam up to boat the tour guide tapped the head of the gator. The sound of that gator mouth when it closed was powerful!
I enjoyed the swamp experience and I enjoyed, although a little scared, holding the baby alligator.  I recommend and yes, I would do it again.

Had a GREAT time! Saw a lot of alligators and the captain provided a lot of educational trivia information about the alligators.  He is also pretty good at driving that airboat, the wind felt great despite the heat that day.

Saw 3 gators (a little one was as we were pulling out from the loading zone!) Our guide, Kenny was very entertaining (I was his mark to be roasted.......which I loved!) He also gave us the best tour he could while looking out for our safety. A storm cloud was brewing and we had to cut the trip short by 30 minutes so as not to get struck by lightning.

Well just to begin, reconsider going in August.  It has nothing to do with Rajun Cajun, they were beyond GREAT, more about that in a minute.  But August is 95-100 degree with 90% humidity.  Ungodly HOT!!!
Now for the good stuff.  We took the shuttle option which picked us up at the front door of the hotel.  About a 30-45 drive to the Rajun Cajun facility.  They checked us in right away and about 10-15 minutes until our boat was ready.  Our guide, sorry cant remember his name, was a young blond man who was very knowledgeable and a keen sense of humor.  It was a 9 passenger air boat, which is there smallest boat.  3 rows of 3 person padded benches.  Be warned, no seatbelts or rails, so hang-on.
Saw some small Gators as soon as we got out onto the main swampway.  The guide talked about how they eat and sleep as well as the history of some of the plantlife around us.  All pretty informative stuff.
Once we got out of the main swampway and into some back water, he revved up the fan and we started really moving.  Stopped a few times to get closer looks at a few Gators and he gave us some more information.
Now for the warning.  STAY HYDRATED!!!!  Bring some water with you and maybe a small ice chest with ice and more water.  My wife got overheated and really ill.  Fortunately it was at the very end of the tour.  I asked the guide to take us back and he again revved up the boat and brought us back right away.  Thanks to his concern, things could have gotten much worse.  He helped us bring her to the air conditioned office and got us more ice and water.  Cannot thank them enough for all of there honest help and concern.  Glad to say that after about 1-2 hours later, my wife was ready to get back in vacation mode.
Highly recommend Rajun Cajun.  Worth the $120 each (included transportation).  It was everything we expected.  IT did NOT dissappoint.
