Departure Details: This charter departs from 210 U.S. 98, Destin, FL 32541. The boat is located at Fishing Fleet Marina behind the restaurant Brotula's. Please arrive at least 30 minutes before departure to check-in at the Sweet Jody booth that can be found on the right side of a blue building. The charter departs on time. For any issues, please contact your provider, Sweet Jody Fishing, at 850-650-2500.
Gratuities: Although not required, it is always appreciated and encouraged to tip.

If you are looking for a family friendly business with a beautiful experience. This is the company. We are a family of 5 with 3 boys ranging from the ages of 2-15 years old. They had a blast! We love supporting small businesses especially when they do such a wonderful job! We enjoyed it 100% and our family will be back next year. Looking forward to it!!

Family of 5, with 3 kids- 7, 9, 11.  An hour boat ride to our fishing destination.  Rods were too heavy for my youngest to handle.  Rocky boat perhaps it was bad day. Caught some fish but weren’t big enough. Captain went to several locations.  Caught a total 4 fish. Staff member smoked cigarettes. Perhaps morning session would be better on a calmer day. Need to pay small fee for filleting and cleaning fish. They strongly ask you to tip. Would not recommend for kids younger than 12.  Quite disappointing as I thought Destin was known for the fishing village.

First time deep sea fishing

The captain and crew made sure everyone and everything was taken care of and completely ready to catch fish! I went because my son loves to fish well I needed up loving it and I think enjoying the trip more than him! Will be back to see the Sweet Jody crew again!

We had a great time on the fishing trip. We were all able to catch several fish!
Suggestions would be to add cup holders and let the guests know how long it takes to get out to our fishing spots! (1.5 hours)

Booked this trip for my friends, my daughter and I and had a great time. Reading the listing before booking gave me an idea of what to expect, reading the confirmation voucher after booking gave me even more insight. The communication was perfect! I got a reminder text the day before from Tripshock AND Pelican Adventures with helpful tidbits that also confirmed that my boat was leaving the dock! We arrived on time, 45 mins early, checked in easily, Miss Vera is AWESOME, and boarded with no issues. The deckhands (all 5) gave out helpful instructions several times during our trip, before/during/after and our favorite was Layton because he was so patient and had such a gentle soul. The bait was a mix of mackeral and squid and our bait bucket was never empty. Our boat was full with 65 people so we did have a few tangled lines, but nothing major and everything was handled quicky. The boat stopped at 2 different fishing spots, the first spot didn't come up with alot of keepers so the boat was moved again a couple of miles away and this was a much better spot. We all took home fish! Definitely a family friendly boat, my daughter had a blast and we are already planning our next trip. Some tips would be to read ALL of your info, bring water, take motion sickness pills the night before if you're sensitive to that sort of thing, to be on time and bring cash to tip your deckhands with. My only complaint was that we let the deckhands fillet our catch and they had more bones in them that I would like (but to be fair I'm super picky). Next time I'll just bring them home and fillet them myself., not a huge ordeal, like I said, I'm picky. We hope to be back on the boat in October for the fishing rodeo!

The boat was very accommodating, the crew was  courteous, very helpful and professional..  We caught fish and had an enjoyable time.

Although waters were a little rough due to Tropical Storm Bertha brewing up., we had a great time.  Did not catch as much as we would have liked, but had a great time nonetheless.  Captain and crew were awesome in helping out and giving tips.  Learned a lot, met some great folks from the Houston area, and will definitely do it again next time we are in Destin.

Everything was five star about the semi-private group charterer. Great instructions,  staff was super friendly and attentive. My 11 year old grandson caught 6 fish and was over the moon. I caught 2 and the rest of my family  caught at least 1.   Shout out to the captain for finding all the great fishing spots. Thank you Landon for taking great care of us especially making it really wonderful for my grandson. 

I will definitely do this excursion again on the same boat with the same crew.

I was recommended the swoop party boat from my sister who has been on several different deep sea trips. She said this one was the best and let me tell you that they did NOT disappoint! My son is an avid (freshwater) fisher. He is now convinced that saltwater fishing is the best thing ever lol. The crew is amazing! Very friendly, helpful, and the banter between themselves makes the environment an all around good experience! I (an amateur fisher) even managed to catch some which for me is quite a feat lol.
