10/10!  We "hired" a 3 hour sunset and fireworks sail Thursday 7/24/25 and it was fantastic.  Captain Matthew and his first mate Kayden were super friendly and hospitable.  They communicated the plan for the evening very well and told us that we could modify our plans based on the conditions and our comfort level.  We had a nice windy day that certainly gave us the full sailing experience as we left the East Pass out into the open water.  It was great to watch this crew work together and lots of fun to feel the power of the wind pushing us along so effortlessly through the wind chopped seas.  I would have liked to have spent a little more time sailing in open water, but we were distracted by the dolphins (Yes we saw Dolphins too!) and followed them back into the East Pass where we sailed around in calmer waters watching the sun set and surveying where we would eventually target to anchor for the fireworks.  We ate our picnic dinner that we brought on deck during this time.  As the winds died down, we took a motor sail through the harbor.  Captain Matthew was very knowledgeable and answered all of our questions mostly related to the restaurants and nightlife that we were interested in recommendations for.  We used this information to make our Saturday night plans and were not disappointed (Thanks Matthew!).  We made out way back to the East Pass where we anchored in what had to be the perfect spot to watch the fireworks.  We had about 15 minutes to lay on the bow in the dark and look at the stars before the fireworks started.  The display was pretty impressive for a show that they do twice a week, but it was made spectacular because we were sitting on a sailboat!!!  This is where I affectionately started calling the whole thing ridiculous because amazing didn't feel like a good enough description.  Though we intentionally opted for a more chill and romantic vibe on our trip, I have no doubt that those looking for more thrill and party could have achieved it by using the provided Bluetooth speaker and cooler to stock up on whatever you wanted to enjoy.  

Fun side note that shows the extra mile of this crew...As we were waiting for the Fireworks to start, Kayden said that someone had text her that a passerby in the Harbor had snapped some photos of us and the boat and posted them on the All Things Destin Facebook page.  Before we could check ourselves, it seems the post was taken down. However, fortunately they had taken screenshots of the photos and were able to share them with us when I reached out after we were unsuccessful finding them ourselves.  

If I was forced to be picky, the only negative things I could come up with would be that they didn't have running water in the head, but the toilet was still operational which is all that mattered to us.  The light in the bathroom was not working so cellphone illumination was require for nighttime use.  Neither of these things took away from our experience.

We flew in the ocean at night and felt the fireworks right over our heads! Lots of adrenaline  for 45 minutes! Fireworks were amazing to watch over our heads on the ocean!
