The Orange Beach Islands Visitors Guide
The Orange Beach Islands is a popular fishing and boating destination that attracts thousands of tourists and residents each year. The Orange Beach Islands are great for lounging on the beach, watersports, and other activities. Also known as the Islands of Perdido Pass, the islands include Gilchrist Island, Bird Island, Robinson Island, and Walker Island. On Gilchrist Island, you’ll see an array of exquisite bird species and marine animals while on Bird Island, you’ll see an abundance of protected fauna and flora such as Wading Herons and Terns.
Robinson Island was purchased by Orange Beach in 2003 and is the most popular out of the islands. Used for recreational purposes by tourists and locals alike, hundreds of boaters flock to the island on holidays such as Memorial Day and Independence Day. Since Walker Island is smaller than the neighboring islands, it serves as a scenic stop more than destination that fills your entire day. You can access the islands by kayak, boat, paddleboard, or other watercraft.
