Flora-Bama Visitors Guide

The iconic Flora-Bama is considered to be the most infamous beach bar in the entire country. It has been a staple since its founding in 1964 and has become a popular landmark for locals and tourists alike. Flora-Bama has a rich history and the name, as one can imagine, stems from the combination of Florida and Alabama, the two states it borders. The original building was a small bar and package store that eventually evolved into a popular venue that has showcased local talent to platinum-selling music artists.

The 20,000-square-foot complex can accommodate up to 2,500 guests at a time. Flora-Bama is comprised of 5 stages, outdoor areas, and several bars including the Tent Bar and Oyster Bar. Not only is this hot spot a place to eat, drink, and socialize, but it has also played a critical role in the community by organizing events such as charity fundraisers for St. Jude, the American Cancer Society, and the Special Operations Warrior Foundation.
