Departure details: This charter departs from 9975 Nance St, Calabash, NC 28467. Please arrive at least 30 minutes before departure to check-in. The boat departs on time. For any issues, please contact your provider, Hurricane Fleet Charter Fishing, at 843-361-3323.
Directions from Myrtle Beach: Take Hwy 17 North through North Myrtle Beach over the Intracoastal Waterway Bridge. Stay on Hwy 17 approximately 4 miles, to the 5th traffic light. Go a quarter mile past the 5th traffic light and then turn right onto Hwy. 179 (just beyond the SC Welcome Center). Go 2 miles to 2nd traffic light in Calabash. Turn right on River Road. Follow road and bear right at Capt. Nance’s Restaurant. Keep on the paved road until it ends at the dirt parking lot. You will see the Hurricane Fleet Marina Sign, a Red and White Lighthouse, and the Hurricane Fleet ticket office behind Dockside Restaurant on the water.
Gratuities: It is customary and appreciated to tip the crew 15-20%.

The half day fishing was great. Even though it was pretty bad motion sickness when we stopped to fish, we still had a good time. The crew was very helpful and knowledgeable. Whenever you had a question, they answered it and never seemed annoyed. Overall, it was a great experience.

Overall  it was an ok trip. I wish they would stocked the kitchen more . I didn’t like that you had to pay for the shrimp bait which is the only thing that worked. the free bait that was squid didn’t work so if you wanted a chance at catching a fish you had to pay for the shrimp bait which was 5 dollars for 5 -7 shrimp. The crew also kept asking for tip money which got a little annoying .

Four of us went on their their boat. We had an absolute blast. It was fun and the crew was very sociable and professional. They were quick at getting our fish the very first time I put my pole down. I brought up two fish at the same time best fishing trip I've ever had.  !!!!!!

This is the main highlight of our entire trip. We took the Sea Thunder and the guides were amazing and very entertaining. We took the front row seat and we were soaking wet which also made it the best part of the trip. Although we didn't get to see the dolphins but we were given a gift card to ride again for free with no expiration! It is such a great experience and we'll be back for sure.

We recently went on a dolphin tour and had an absolutely fantastic experience thanks to our boatman, Jacob. From the moment we stepped on the boat, he was outstanding. He handled everything with confidence and professionalism—untied the boat smoothly, kept a sharp lookout for dolphins, and made sure everyone on board was having a great time.

Jacob was incredibly entertaining, helpful, and courteous throughout the entire tour. He had a natural presence on the water and handled the boat with the kind of comfort and awareness that made it clear he truly belongs out there. At times it honestly felt like he was one with the water and one with the boat—completely in his element.

What impressed us even more was hearing about his aspirations to become a captain one day. Based on what we saw, we have no doubt that he will excel in that role. His professionalism, attention to detail, and genuine enthusiasm for the job make him someone with a very bright future ahead. If every tour had someone like Jacob running things, it would be hard for anyone to have a bad experience.

He made the entire trip memorable, and we left with nothing but outstanding enthusiasm for his future career as a captain.

They beyond exceeded my expectations. My son had so much fun that the moment he left, he said he wanted to go back. They have some many fun/cute little things planned for the kids that you don’t spend a moment standing around. Captain, Crabby Abby and Billy did a fabulous job.
