During the 1998 Orange Bowl in Miami, Capt. Richie chartered a 47-foot sailboat on Biscayne Bay and took several of his classmates from the University of Tennessee sailing for the day. Not only was it fun, but he was able to see firsthand how rewarding it was to introduce people to sailing that otherwise wouldn’t have the opportunity. We had a very relaxing, nice time on the cruise. The captain and his mate were awesome . However, next time I will book in the winter months due to the evening rains. Unfortunately there was no wind at all and the sunset kind of sucked that evening! All out of the crew's control, of course! I'll definitely go again!

Sunset cruise

The sunset cruise was nothing less that extraordinary!  It was fun watching the captains control the sails and work as a team. They were attentive, without being over-the-top. They interacted with the guests, took pictures and answered questions. But they also gave the guests time to have their own intimate experience. There was ample time to watch the sunset and the cruise back to the marina was almost as spectacular as the ride to the gulf. The sun had set, the colors in the sky were amazing, and sailing by million dollar mansions was the cherry on top. I one-hundred percent recommend this experience.

Day Sailing Experience

We spent 2½ very relaxing hours on the water with easy tropical music. The other passengers nearby were very pleasant amd fun to talk to. 

We only saw 3 or 4 dolphins,  but that was okay.  Midday is not the best time to see them. 

By no means would I have wanted the captain to talk constantly, but a little information now and then about different places on the shore would have been interesting. 

All on all, a nice ship,  a lovely day cruise.

Such a nice trip for a beautiful day! The boat is lovely and the crew fabulous! I cannot wait to go again!

Our trip got moved to the evening cruise. It was perfect sailing weather and we thoroughly enjoyed it!
