Parking: There is metered parking as well as a parking garage.
Departure Details: Activity is located under the John’s Pass boardwalk at 140 Boardwalk Place W., Madeira Beach FL 33708. Guests must check-in at the Pirate Ship gift shop to receive a boarding pass at least 30 minutes prior to cruise time. The gift shop is located under the boardwalk, along the waterfront. Look for our signs and flags by the street. Activity will depart on time. For any issues, please contact your provider, Sunshine Scenic Tours, at 727-423-7824.
Gratuities: Although not required, it is customary to tip your captain and crew.

My family of six greatly enjoyed our experience on the Pirate ship! The crew was very friendly and made a great time for the kids and adults alike.

Great time

Drove 3 hours to get there, waited at dock for another hour and a half to be told the tour was cancelled. Told us to go to the office for a refund. A refund that would be put back on our card in 2-3 business days. Considering we spent over $300 we didn't have money to do much else. There solution was to put us on a dolphin cruise instead. Dolphin quest was ok, but $100 less value than the tickets we paid for.

Pirate Tour

It was wonderful!! I took my kids and grandkids they had such a blast. Free beer. You get a minute when they take the kids back to paint faces.  It’s very fun family friendly and nice so much fun!! Worth every penny!!

Pirate cruise

We were kind of disappointed that there was no ongoing narrative during the trip,  like other Pirate Ship cruises we have taken. Basically the only activity was drinking and watching little kids shoot squirt guns. 

There was no great sunset, which can't be helped,  but there was nice scenery of the homes on shore.

We're really sorry to hear that - we do try to make it a fun experience for everyone. Throughout the year, we host themed cruises which include a ghost ship that does have a narrative - please keep an eye out on our website or newsletter for more information on upcoming events.

Great for 5yr olds

Took my kids and wife to enjoy a nice sail. Captain and crew ship were super friendly and definitely played the part. Will do again next year !

Dolphin Adventure

We went 3 years ago in June, this year we were there in April. Last time we had 5 runs with a lot of dolphins following the boat. This year we only had 1 run with dolphins following, at least the grandkids saw a lot of dolphins right at the boat on the 1 run. Can’t blame the boat captain, it’s just they are not that active. It was a good trip anyways

I can’t reach it my family of six decided to book a sunset cruise for the first time in our 20 years of going to Redington Beach. We met our captain, Roger at the marina. He was extremely knowledgeable and friendly! It was great learning about the area And learning about the different wildlife. It was also great to see the magnificent homes and hear stories about how the area had developed through the years. We went on a perfect night where there were no clouds, and there was no wind. The sunset was incredible and we even saw the green flash :-) it’s a trip to remember for my parents and my family! We will definitely be booking another with Captain Roger in the future !

We had a great trip to Shell Key with Robin and Braelynn. They were very knowledgeable and made it fun. They gave my kids each a shark tooth which was really memorable for them.

Smooth ride in

The Hubbard team were very thoughtful and helpful. The trip on the boat was relaxing. Shell Island has a small sand beach surrounding it which is not crowded at all. The water is crystal clear and a nice warm/cool temperature. We found some nice shells but you will need to swim at least 6 feet out and snorkle dive to reach them. Truly enjoyed the entire trip. Highly recommend. :)

We enjoyed the trip very much. The crew were personable and the others on the trip were as well

Mid day sail

We spent 2½ very relaxing hours on the water with easy tropical music. The other passengers nearby were very pleasant amd fun to talk to. 

We only saw 3 or 4 dolphins,  but that was okay.  Midday is not the best time to see them. 

By no means would I have wanted the captain to talk constantly, but a little information now and then about different places on the shore would have been interesting. 

All on all, a nice ship,  a lovely day cruise.

A few friends and myself wanted to close out our trip with a cruise so I saw The StarLite Majesty on tripshock. We originally thought we were going to just do the cruise part as the dinner was optional... However we would've missed out for sure. We all got the filet which comes with a salad and desert at a very reasonable price. Great experience at a phenomenal price. I would highly recommend this as a great addition to any trip. Friendly staff, great food, great environment.  A++
