This was a trip! We were not sure what to expect. We had friends do the scooters a couple weeks prior to our arrival. They told us we absolutely had to do this. We are so glad we booked it! Navone (probably spelling it wrong) picked us up at our resort on time. We had a speedy trip to the location on the other side. When we arrived we met the diver Charles (sp?). They went over everything in depth. My husband and I chose to ride together on one scooter and I glad we did because we got to enjoy everything together. I thought we were going to be connected to scuba tanks but we were not. The way the scooters are designed they create a large air pocket as they are lowered straight down. They have oxygen continuously flowing into that air pocket, but you are free to move around. Clearly I did not pay enough attention in physics class to understand how it worked-lol. As soon as we were lowered into the water we were swarmed by fish! My husband thought they were attracted to the air bubbles but there was a little bag of fish food (bananas) attached to the side of the scooter that they were attracted to! I did get a little freaked out when some of this fish jumped up near my face. We were down for about 30min seeing lots of fish, sea urchins and other marine life. They took tons of pictures and video, but we will have to wait until we get home to see them because we don’t have anything to connect to the thumb drive we purchased from them. They had fresh towels, water and juice, and some snacks when we came back up. It was another speedy boat ride back to our resort. We thought it was the perfect amount of time for us. They do lots of other activities like regular scuba dives, and dives with the astronaut helmet looking things (more like snuba). They also do whale watches starting in September I think. Definitely book it!!

Super fun.  The guides were friendly and professional.  They were patient with my wife's crippling fear of the open ocean & sharks and made her 1st journey underwater extra safe, fun and memorable.  She was smiling from ear-to-ear once we submerged.

The equipment was super easy to use.  The marine life was beautiful.  And you can't beat that impossibly-blue water of Bora Bora!

Neat experience with friendly tour guides.  Very safe and easy without any experience.  10 feet under water without diving.

The underwater scooter excursion is rare. It allows you to stay dry from the shoulders up while being submerged. You can breathe normally while being ten feet below the surface. There are two people in each scooter. Grab the steering wheel, press the foot pedal, and you're off. Seeing the creatures below is amazing!

  The best experience we had in Bora Bora. A must event to do while you are here. The guides were very professional, patient, safe and understanding as my wife does not know how to swim. When we return to Bora Bora this will be the first tour we sign up for. Thank you so much Paul

Fantastic.

The aqua scooter is very safe and comfortable. You will feel pressure in your ears similar as to flying initially and returning to the surface, but that is the extent of any challenge. The rest is led by seasoned divers who help you feed fish, see the sea life and navigate the waters. On our excursion, the second diver GoProed our travel and made it available to us on a USB instantly after the ride for a nominal fee. Get the videos and photos; you support the staff and will have fun images to share with friends afterwards.
