We found TripShock via Google when looking up dolphin tours in the Gulf Shores area. We found a great deal on a tour through Happy Harbor Marina in Orange Beach.

When did you book your tour compared to the departure date?

We booked our tour the evening before.

Why did you choose this activity?

We have always wanted to do a dolphin tour and heard that there were a couple different opportunities to do so in the area.

How did you get to the activity location?

We headed to the Happy Harbor Marina from our hotel. It was easy to find and about a 20-minute drive from where we were staying.

What was your experience with the activity’s staff?

The Captain and his crew were phenomenal! They were knowledgeable about the dolphins and provided a fun, safe, and entertaining atmosphere that was good for all ages.

The boat had snacks and drinks, even a variety of adult beverages, and enclosed areas with seating on both bottom and top levels in addition to the seating outside.

Highlights or memories you and your group will take from the trip?

We arrived early to the marina and got our wristbands. There is a gift shop, so we went in to look around while we waited for the tour to begin. You can find Happy Harbor Marina merchandise, as well as other beach-style souviners inside.

We waited for a short while under the shop on the benches before the captain called us over. We were given some short safety instructions and then boarded the boat. You have the option of top or bottom seating, and inside or outside.

We left the dock and headed out to search for dolphins! Not long after, we saw the first of several pods of dolphins. The captain was a great guide, providing information about the dolphins and surrounding area.

The crew was fun and engaging, offering to take pictures for our group, and keeping the kids engaged by telling them to try calling to the dolphins to get their attention.

I absolutely recommend this activity to others looking for something fun to do while in the area.
