Several people in our group had never done a cemetery tour. They were very interested in being given a guided tour of this area.

Our guide was very friendly and humorous. He kept us engaged during the tour by asking questions and involving us in the process of history telling.

Highlights or memories you and your group will take from the trip?

I found this tour to be very insightful. I have been on tours in New Orleans before. James was by far the best guide I have had. He pointed out interesting architecture and told history about certain places that I hadn’t heard on previous tours. Because he is a musician from New Orleans, he had a lot if insight into the cemetery and why certain people are buried there. I appreciated his thoughtfulness regarding the heat. He made sure we were all okay and staying hydrated.

Yes, I would definitely recommend it. Ask for James! He is a native of New Orleans and is well acquainted with insider historical facts.
