How did you discover this activity?

I found the Sunny Lady dolphin cruise after Googling, “dolphin cruises in the area.” I booked it because it was in an ideal location.

When did you book your tour compared to the departure date?

I booked our cruise the morning of departure. We waited only because we knew that bad weather was a possibility, but the lady I talked to at TripShock assured me that they would contact me hours in advance if plans had to change. Which they didn’t!

Why did you choose this activity?

We booked this activity because we were taking our 6-year-old, dolphin-loving daughter, and that’s the one thing she HAD to do!

How did you get to the activity location?

We took the Foley Beach Toll Expressway (it costs $2.75 each way), went over a bridge, and then into the nice area of The Wharf. It was very easy to find!

What was your experience with the activity’s staff?

The captain was very knowledgeable, and went out of his way to stir up some fun for the dolphins to jump in his boat waves. We saw at least 20 dolphins, and went to several locations to find them. Captain also knew every dolphin by name, and called them by clapping and whistling for them, and had us help him out. They also have candy, snacks, and drinks available to purchase on board, but you are also welcome to bring your own drinks (just no glass containers).

Highlights or memories you and your group will take from the trip?

The most memorable part was my daughter getting to be captain on the way back. She drove the boat, fed the seagulls Cheetos, and got to hold “Lucy” the Macaw.

The crew also offers life jackets for anyone who wants to wear one, although I believe ages 7 and under it is a requirement. Also, when you get on board, there’s a camera man who will take your family’s picture to purchase, if you like, for $10.00 at the end of your trip.

Would you recommend this activity to another group like yours? Why or why not?

This is a great family activity. I would recommend this to everyone. We did the earlier tour at 1:30pm that costs $21.00 per person, compared to the later options that would cost $23.00 per person.
