I found TripShock when searching for affordable things to do in New Orleans. I had never been to Mardi Gras, and wanted to know the ins and outs. This experience was not only educational, it was spiritual.

We booked this event an hour before going. We had no issues getting checked in.

Why did you choose this activity?

My son and I were interested in coming to experience Mardi Gras. Going to Mardi Gras World and learning about the history and themes behind each event has made us want to come back and experience it for ourselves!

I drove my car. It was less than five minutes from the AirBnB we rented on Clio St.

When you arrive at Mardi Gras World, you’re greeted by the professional staff. They walk you through what you will experience on the tour.

After watching a short film on the history of Mardi Gras, you get to experience the “behind the scenes” and how it’s made! I would recommend this for any one who has a slight interest in a real, New Orleans Mardi Gras experience.

There’s a gift shop where you can purchase trinkets and memorabilia after the tour. The Mississippi River flows behind the building, and the view is breathtaking. It’s a life changing experience.

Yes, I would recommend this for tour groups, children, adults, churches, and schools. Again, for me, the tour was not only educational, it was spiritual!
