The Activity we Experienced

What we chose to do

Attracting Alligators with a Rubber Chicken

How did you discover this activity?

We got to TripShock through a Google search, and then looked into activities in New Orleans.

When did you book your tour compared to the departure date?

We booked about three weeks in advance.

Why did you choose this activity?

We wanted to do something out of the ordinary and away from downtown New Orleans.

How did you get to the activity location?

We drove our rental car, but they also have an option to pick you up at your hotel for an extra fee.

What was your experience with the activity’s staff?

Our tour guide was great. He was knowledgeable, friendly, and humorous.

Highlights or memories you and your group will take from the trip?

Our guide had a rescued gator we were allowed to hold and take pictures with, which was an awesome experience. There was also an albino gator in a pond inside the main building.

Also, the guide knew how to get the gators to come to the boat by splashing the “rubber chicken” on the water. We saw several gators on our trip as well as some birds.

We were given a lot of information about the swamps/bayous and the history etc.

Would you recommend this activity to another group like yours? Why or why not?

Yes, I would recommend it for anyone. Singles, couples, family with kids, Seniors, large group, etc. would all love it. The ramp to the boat is wheelchair accessible and you can park a wheelchair or stroller on the boat.
