The Activity we Experienced

What we chose to do

My Son Loves History, and this Museum!

How did you discover this activity?

We discovered The National World War II Museum when we asked a couple of friends for activities to do in New Orleans.

When did you book your tour compared to the departure date?

We booked the museum tour the day before we went.

Why did you choose this activity?

My son likes history, so we thought it would be a neat place to take him.

How did you get to the activity location?

Our hotel was close enough, so we walked to the location.

What was your experience with the activity’s staff?

Everyone was very friendly, and they directed us to the main counter where they took our voucher.

Highlights or memories you and your group will take from the trip?

This was a very thorough tour. The museum has about six buildings, so there was definitely a lot to explore. Each area covered a different part of World War II, so it was really cool to learn new things that you didn’t learn about at school.

My favorite part was learning about the Filipino portion of World War II. It covered a lot of things that I didn’t know, and it made me want to explore more on my own. My son enjoyed it very much, since he likes history. I would definitely recommend this for any history buff!

Would you recommend this activity to another group like yours? Why or why not?

I would definitely recommend this! It is definitely a lot of information to take in, so I probably would suggest doing it earlier in the day, and then taking a little break for lunch, and then continuing on. We did it a little bit later in the day, and we got tired, and didn’t get to finish the full museum experience. However, it was really neat!
