How did you discover this activity?

I found TripShock when I googled fun things to do in Destin, FL. I came across a long list of activities and chose what suited my children’s ages and a time that would not interfere with our other bookings.

When did you book your tour compared to the departure date?

I booked the night before around 10pm online so we could plan the rest of our day around that schedule. It worked out great for us since it was an evening tour.

Why did you choose this activity?

It was something for the entire family and I didn’t have to worry about my youngest not being able to enjoy it. He was afraid of getting on the boat but after that he was ok. It’s a big step for a little kid that’s never done it before. You’d have thought he was walking across the Grand Canyon lol, Daddy had to carry him

How did you get to the activity location?

I just entered the address into maps on my phone and it took us right to it. I did get a little confused, called the number and he told me where to go.

What was your experience with the activity’s staff?

Beyond excellent. They were so friendly! You could tell they were seasoned staff, wish we had more cash on hand for a bigger tip!

Highlights or memories you and your group will take from the trip?

The captain saw me wandering around looking for people and it was like he just knew, “you looking for the sunset cruise? Go to that building right there,” and pointed me the right way. He was just a guy walking the dock that saw, I had no clue where I was headed. So, before I even stepped on the boat, I thought man, that’s a nice fella!

Then, it came time to board and I watched them finish sanitizing before we could climb in. The first mate skipper offered a helping hand for myself and our family. We were the first ones on, and picked a nice shady spot, because it was still very hot out. The boat wasn’t fully booked and there was plenty of space between families for social distancing.

The boat ride to Crab Island, looking for dolphins, and exploring through the HarborWalk area was just the best. We waved to all of the passing yachts, boats, and jet skis, and all of those passengers were waving back. The atmosphere is just so pleasant. The captain and first mate having conversations with everyone.

OH, I almost forgot to mention the playlist! Oh yeah. We jammed the entire way. I believe he said it was “Guardians of the Galaxy Soundtrack.” Well, guess who are huge fans of that movie.... we are! So, you take the cruise, the sights, the kindness from the captain and first mate, mixed with a superb playlist, and it just equaled a fantastic time!

Would you recommend this activity to another group like yours? Why or why not?

This tour is great for families or couples. My husband and I enjoyed it with our children, but I know we would’ve enjoyed it if it had been just us, as well. Beautiful, I mean, it was just beautiful! I loved every minute; my only complaint is that I wished it had lasted longer, because we didn’t want to leave. We truly had a wonderful experience!
