I found TripShock while searching Google for things to do in New Orleans. I found the aquarium and it led me to the TripShock page for ticket purchase.

When did you book your tour compared to the departure date?

I booked the tour a month prior to leaving.

Why did you choose this activity?

We try to see an aquarium and zoo in every city that we can.

How did you get to the activity location?

We took an Uber from our hotel and it dropped us off directly at the aquarium. The Hop On Hop Off Bus will also take you directly to the aquarium.

What was your experience with the activity’s staff?

The staff was very friendly and informative. They knew about the species and they were familiar with TripShock vouchers and gave advice in using them.

Highlights or memories you and your group will take from the trip?

It was my birthday and there were so many species of jellyfish, which most aquariums only have one and done. They had several varieties of seahorses, as well.

The penguins were friendly and by far, the species in this aquarium are top notch and I would go again. They also have an Amazon area where you can see the huts and birds of the region. There was also a white alligator that was neat to view, as you could see him from above and below water.

Would you recommend this activity to another group like yours? Why or why not?

Yes, but I would not do the combo again. If you don’t have a car, it’s hard to get to the zoo from the aquarium without a two-hour walk so sadly, we did not make it to the zoo.
