What we chose to do

Alligators Came Right Up to our Boat

How did you discover this activity?

We looked on the Internet for “things to do in New Orleans.” We came across the Hop On Hop Off Bbus Tour and booked it, then we continued on with other activities to do while we were here.

When did you book your tour compared to the departure date?

We booked this trip after we arrived in New Orleans.

Why did you choose this activity?

We had a list of things we wanted to do while we were here, and we liked the package that was offered through Airboat Adventures.

How did you get to the activity location?

A shuttle picked us up at our hotel, and dropped us off afterwards.

What was your experience with the activity’s staff?

It was great. Our captain was very knowledgeable and friendly. He shared a lot of personal experiences with us.

Highlights or memories you and your group will take from the trip?

We went on a swamp tour in Kissimmee, FL, and were able to see a lot of alligators. When I went back in July, however, the climate was warmer and we did not see as many, but did get to see a lot of birds. So, needless to say, I did not expect to see any alligators this trip, but we did and they came very close to the boat!

Captain Earl was very friendly and knowledgeable, and he had a lot of stories that were funny and engaging about his experiences as a youngster and as a captain. He even had a special treat for us that you’ll have to take a ride with him to see!

Would you recommend this activity to another group like yours? Why or why not?

Yes, I would absolutely recommend this tour. It was a refreshing day, and our captain tried to keep us in the shade, which made a huge difference.
