Highlights or memories you and your group will take from the trip?

Learning all about old customs and traditions of the cemetery was fascinating. You’ll find out history and burial traditions. The architecture in the cemetery is gorgeous.

The way people used to choose their sites and by who is fascinating, many staying by the people they lived by. The way people now give offerings to Marie Laveau and other voodoo people is interesting.

Unfortunately vandalism and destruction is a real problem in the cemetery making it closed to the general public. You must go through a tour group and be signed in.

Would you recommend this activity to another group like yours? Why or why not?

Absolutely! The cemetery is beautiful, full of gorgeous architecture and history.
