We found TripShock on Google when we were looking for dolphin cruises in Orange Beach. After browsing through all the tours, we found a great deal for the Sunny Lady.

When did you book your tour compared to the departure date?

We booked our trip 3 weeks in advance.

Why did you choose this activity?

My family and I always wanted to see the dolphins, especially my son, who has special needs.

How did you get to the activity location?

Getting to the marina was a 10 minute car ride from where we were staying in Gulf Shores.

What was your experience with the activity’s staff?

Captain Jeremy was incredibly friendly and extremely knowledgeable, not only of where the dolphins would be, but the history of Orange Beach, as well.

Highlights or memories you and your group will take from the trip?

When I was searching for dolphin cruises, I needed to find something that would be easily accessible for my son with special needs. This boat had a ramp which made it really easy for him. The moment we got to the ticket booth, my son was so excited, and the beautiful lady there just fell in love with him, and made him feel so special. That was just the beginning of a beautiful and perfect day.

Captain Jeremy and his crew were so accommodating. He has a parrot on board named Lucy, and he allowed everyone on board to take pictures with her. Once we started moving, Captain Jeremy knew exactly where to go to see the dolphins and even knew them by name. He was so informative about the dolphins, and we actually learned things we never knew before.

We all loved how he got the dolphins to surf along side the boat. Seeing how excited my son was, he invited him to be his co-captain. The look on my son’s face was absolutely priceless. He even gave him a captain’s hat to wear. My son stayed right there for the majority of the trip because he was so excited. The crew offered him drinks and snacks and talked to him as if they have known him forever. They pointed out all the dolphins to him.

On the way back to the marina, he allowed my son to sit in the captain’s chair and steer the boat. Now I thought he was excited before... you should have seen his face then! I don’t think I have ever seen my son this happy. We had to “pry” him out of that chair to give all the other kids on board a chance at steering the boat. Captain Jeremy and his crew were not only great with my son, but with all the kids on board. They were all so happy to sit in the captain’s chair.

When we arrived back at the marina, of course my son did not want to leave. He had to take yet another picture with Lucy and tell Captain Jeremy that “this was the best day ever!” It was right then that Captain Jeremy invited us back that evening for the sunset cruise. We were more than happy to accept. My son couldn’t wait to see the lady in the ticket booth and tell her he was coming back again that evening.

That was at 11:00am. He drove us crazy until we went back at 6:15pm. The captain and crew were just as amazing that evening. It was a beautiful cruise and it’s so wonderful for any age. When it was time to leave, my son shouted from the dock, “I love you Captain Jeremy” and his response... ”I love you too Brandon!” The best experience of our lives. We now have friends forever and cannot wait to go back.

Would you recommend this activity to another group like yours? Why or why not?

I would absolutely recommend this cruise to anyone, not just children. It’s relaxing, yet exciting and fun, and let me say, it’s affordable. We can’t wait to bring our whole family next time. What a great way to spend a few hours!
