We Googled “things to do in Myrtle beach,” and then the boardwalk came up. We saw all of the activities and saw the Skywheel as a possibility, especially since it wasn’t too pricey.

When did you book your tour compared to the departure date?

We booked right before getting on.

Why did you choose this activity?

We wanted to get some relief from the heat, and we saw there was AC in each gondola. We also saw reviews online for people who had fun on the Skywheel and we wanted to try it.

How did you get to the activity location?

We drove to the boardwalk and then walked to the Skywheel.

What was your experience with the activity’s staff?

They were very friendly! The ticket agent had the same name as me, Kathy, so we bonded over that.

Highlights or memories you and your group will take from the trip?

Seeing the entire coast of Myrtle beach from the top was truly remarkable. We went around 12-noon, so it was in the middle of the day when the sun was the brightest, but I would’ve loved to go at night to see the sunset.

Even though other ferris wheels aren’t really stable, we felt really safe on the Skywheel, and not once felt like we were in danger. We could even see the tops of hotels and the amusement park rides!

Would you recommend this activity to another group like yours? Why or why not?

Yes! This is definitely an end-of-the-day activity so you can relax. Also for couples, this can be very romantic at nighttime.
