We chose this because we wanted personal space and a peaceful trip.

We drove one mile from our hotel.

What was your experience with the activity’s staff?

Captain Dereck was a terrific, kind, and patient guide. He got us amazing pictures of dolphins at sunset, and he took great care of my mom and I.

Highlights or memories you and your group will take from the trip?

The Destin Harbor was beautiful at night, and we got to see areas the public tours don’t go. It was very relaxing. It’s a nice ride from Fort Walton Beach over to Destin.

We enjoyed a wonderful, cool breeze, and it was just the most relaxing boat trip ever. You can play music, but we enjoyed the quiet and nature. We spent a lot of time amongst the dolphins, and got amazing pictures. Captain answered all of our questions, and explained navigating and what the buoys meant, which is neat if you are not a boater.

Would you recommend this activity to another group like yours? Why or why not?

We absolutely recommend this! The private tour is the way to go. I’ve always wanted to rent a pontoon, but I’m hesitant as I’ve never driven a boat. If not for Power Up and Dereck, we wouldn’t have had this experience.
