How did you discover this activity?

We have been wanting to go to the Gulfarium for years but have never made it. Our family decided to enjoy a long weekend in Fort Walton Beach. I checked TripShock for great deals and activities and the whole family agreed we needed to check out the Gulfarium.

When did you book your tour compared to the departure date?

We booked our admission tickets the night before.

Why did you choose this activity?

Our entire family loves the beach and all animals. We check out aquariums anytime we travel to a city that has one.

How did you get to the activity location?

The Gulfarium is in a great location for anyone coming to the Destin area. We were actually staying at a hotel on the beach right next to the Gulfarium so we walked.

What was your experience with the activity’s staff?

The staff was great. We opted to do some experiences which we booked with the Gulfarium. The trainers were very informative and they really enforce the protection of the animals in the wild and their environment. Most of their animals are rescues and we learned they take in exotic animals people can no longer care for.

Highlights or memories you and your group will take from the trip?

My family had an amazing day at the Gulfarium. The ability to get close to the animals with an amazing view of the beach was refreshing. Being able to see the care and love the staff has for the animals really enforced the good they are doing. The Gulfarium has been around since 1955 for a reason!

My daughter has always dreamed of being able to interact with a dolphin and she was able to experience that at the Gulfarium. She sat with a trainer and was able to give signals, feed and touch a dolphin. She is still floating on air! The trainer also taught her a few things she didn’t know about the dolphins.

My son and I adore sea turtles and we were able to go behind the scenes and see the Gulfarium’s sea turtle rescue facility. This isn’t just a place to see fish and dolphins, they are saving our wild creatures and giving homes to those unable to be in the wild. We can’t wait to return!

Would you recommend this activity to another group like yours? Why or why not?

This is a great place for groups of any size. Plenty of facilities, good prices, food and snacks are well priced and there’s plenty of seating for shows.
