My second daughter was looking for a great family activity for me and my six children and found these surfing lessons through Tripshock on google.

When did you book your tour compared to the departure date?

We booked everything for our trip four weeks in advance.

Why did you choose this activity?

Surfing was a great family activity since it was something none of us had ever tried.

How did you get to the activity location?

The beach where the lessons were held was a short drive from our condo.

What was your experience with the activity’s staff?

The trainers were excellent teachers who gave us solid instructions on techniques and helped me understand the ocean and beach we were on.

Highlights or memories you and your group will take from the trip?

All seven of us were able to stand up at least once during that hour. They gave me a board that made me feel safe and helped me to be successful. They guided me through each step. I also appreciated how they watched out for my youngest child who is nine. There are some deep places between the sandbars and they were cognizant of the possible dangers. Everyone from the children to the teens to the adult children and middle-aged me had a blast. We all felt successful.

Would you recommend this activity to another group like yours? Why or why not?

This would be a great activity for any group trying something new or who had some experience surfing. Their equipment was great and their instruction was great.
