How did you discover this activity?

I already knew New Orleans had a great zoo and wanted to take my children while we were in town. When I visited the zoo website, I saw that I could get a great discount if I bought the tickets online with TripShock instead of at the gate.

When did you book your tour compared to the departure date?

I booked three days in advance.

Why did you choose this activity?

I had visited the Audubon Zoo once before with my husband, before we had children, and we enjoyed it so much. Now that our kids are older, I couldn’t wait for the opportunity to take them.

How did you get to the activity location?

It was only about a 20-minute car ride from our campground, and parking at the zoo is free!

What was your experience with the activity’s staff?

The staff here was wonderful. There were also several zoo keepers outside of some of the exhibits answering questions about the animals.

Highlights or memories you and your group will take from the trip?

As soon as you enter the Audubon Zoo, there’s a huge fountain featuring statues of some of the animals you will encounter there. This got the kids super excited, literally, right out of the gate.

We visited the Sea Lion exhibit during feeding hours and got to see them do a few tricks and learned a lot from the zoo keeper there.

The Carousel was only $2 per child and well worth it! It was so fun for the kids to choose an animal to ride and then get to see that animal in real life moments later.

We also stopped at the ice cream shop, and played on some of the playground equipment near the cafe. There were so many activities to enjoy here. We could have easily spent all day here. We’ll definetly be back!

Would you recommend this activity to another group like yours? Why or why not?

Absolutely! There was so much for the children, big and small, to enjoy here. The exhibits are so nice and the scenery is beautiful. There is really something to do here for any age.
