I found TripShock on Google when searching for plantation tours.

When did you book your tour compared to the departure date?

I booked about one or two weeks ahead of when we went.

Why did you choose this activity?

I was looking for the plantation tour and the swamp combo sounded like fun. It also looked like a great price for the two.

How did you get to the activity location?

The tour company picked us up at a hotel. It was about a mile from where we were staying, so a bit of a walk in the New Orleans heat.

What was your experience with the activity’s staff?

Brandon was our swamp tour guide and he did an amazing job. He was friendly and knowledgeable. He even had some critters for us to hold and touch.

Our plantation tour guide was Kyle, and he was also great. We could easily hear every word he said, and he had lots of great information.

Our only complaint was that we had no time at all to look around the plantation. We didn’t even get to go into the museum. We only had time to grab a quick snack at the gift shop.

Highlights or memories you and your group will take from the trip?

We had lots of fun and saw lots of gators at the swamp. Getting to hold one was an extra thrill. Brandon’s critters and knowledge made the trip amazing.

The plantation tour was what I was most looking forward to. It was really informative and gave a good feel for the events of the time and the people who lived there.

I wish I had had a better comparison of the two plantation tours offered, as I might have chosen differently.

Would you recommend this activity to another group like yours? Why or why not?

I would definitely recommend this to anyone, of any age, who is going to be in the New Orleans area. It was fun, educational, and moving. We all loved it!
