Biloxi Lighthouse Visitors Guide

Built in 1848, The Biloxi Lighthouse was among the first cast iron in the South. This building has survived a myriad of hurricanes and withstood the storm shrug and wind of Katrina. Biloxi Lighthouse is the only lighthouse located in the middle of a major highway. Whether you’re a history lover and just looking for amusement while in Biloxi, a visit to the Biloxi Lighthouse is a must.

In the lighthouse, visitors head up a spiral staircase comprised of 57 steps, climb a ladder, and trek through a trap door into the lightroom. Visitors can enjoy viewing waterlines from hurricanes that date back more than 100 years. You can even climb up to the top if you want to. At the top of the lighthouse, you will see exceptional sights of the Gulf.
