How did you discover this activity?

We knew we wanted to take a dolphin cruise while we were in Destin. We have used TripShock in the past. It was easy to book and pay for.

When did you book your tour compared to the departure date?

We actually booked the day before!

Why did you choose this activity?

We love going out into the Gulf and into the bay. It is so beautiful in Destin and the water is so clear. We went at high tide, which was the best time to see the emerald-green waters.

How did you get to the activity location?

We were staying in Fort Walton Beach, so it was an easy and scenic drive. It’s not far and the Harbor, it is just right across the bridge, so you don’t get tied up too much in traffic.

What was your experience with the activity’s staff?

The staff was very kind and helpful. They helped spot the dolphins and other sea life. There were a few sharks, jellyfish, and even a turtle!

Highlights or memories you and your group will take from the trip?

The sky was beautiful. There were some swells, mostly created by other watercraft. We loved watching people parasailing, as well, they were awesome against the sky! We were also able to watch pelicans in flight, and were able to get close to a heron at the pier.

We enjoyed watching the children when they would spot a dolphin. They were so excited! We were able to get a good picture of one of the dolphins. It was nice that they had a snack bar on board, as there was no need to lug around a heavy cooler! Everything was priced inexpensively, and the glass bottom part of the boat is awesome! We were able to see lots of different fish, and that area was air conditioned.

We love to watch other boats of various sizes coming and going to the Harbor. We do a dolphin cruise every time we come to Destin. It’s always a different experience. The area is beautiful and the water is such a wonderful color during high tide. It’s exciting and relaxing at the same time!

Would you recommend this activity to another group like yours? Why or why not?

This activity is suited for all ages! There is plenty of seating out of the sun, and a large air conditioned cabin. The crew is very helpful and kind. The captain is funny and will crack jokes. They play music once you get out into the Gulf.
