We found TripShock while doing a Google search for “activities in Destin for spring break.”

When did you book your tour compared to the departure date?

We booked 2 days ahead of time, as we were already on our vacation for spring break, and had a free day left at the end of our trip.

Why did you choose this activity?

We wanted to experience the water a bit more, but the temperatures had been a little cooler, since it was the first week in March. Renting a pontoon allowed us to get on the water without getting in it, if it was too cold.

How did you get to the activity location?

We drove to the harbor easily by car. It was a short 20-minute drive. The location was very easy to find with GPS guidance. Once there, the rental place had plenty of signage to guide us right to the counter.

What was your experience with the activity’s staff?

The staff was extremely helpful from the moment we checked in, to the departure from the boat. They handled everything with professionalism and courtesy.

Highlights or memories you and your group will take from the trip?

We made lasting memories while on our excursion, and the rental company had the boat fully decked out with everything promised, and then some. I can’t rave enough about the attention to detail which was provided to ensure our trip was perfect.

The highlight wasn’t Crab Island, which we expected to be. Actually, it was one of the numerous sandy beach areas along the way. The water was warmer there and more shallow, which provided for a great time for the boys, ages 10 and 7, to really let loose and have fun hunting for shells and hermit crabs!

Would you recommend this activity to another group like yours? Why or why not?

I would recommend this activity to anyone who has 4-8 hours of time to fill during a getaway, and anyone who loves the water. It was worth every penny!
