When did you book your tour compared to the departure date?

We booked our tour about 5 weeks before our trip.

Why did you choose this activity?

Our group had gone deep sea fishing before and wanted to go again. This group was actually more affordable than other sites I looked at.

How did you get to the activity location?

We stayed in Miramar Beach and it only took us 15 minutes to get there by car.

What was your experience with the activity’s staff?

Our captain was a seasoned sea captain and made sure we had the maximum amount of fish we were allowed. The mates worked tirelessly to assure we had bait, no tangles, and to manage our fish. They also encouraged me a bit to keep putting bait in the water.

Highlights or memories you and your group will take from the trip?

Our weather was by far ideal with gorgeous flat water and even several dolphin sightings. The best part of the trip though was catching and seeing the fish coming up out of the water. When we didn’t catch fish right away, the captain would move sites to assure we had a maximum catch. I really liked that we were able to keep what we caught too. On other trips, we pooled the fish and divided it up later. It was cool to know we were bringing home what we actually reeled in ourselves.

Would you recommend this activity to another group like yours? Why or why not?

I was one of about three other women on a boat of 36 fisherman. I loved the outdoors and am not leery about touching the bait. If you like being outside and love the ocean, this activity could be for you. I love the physicality of the activity too. Knowing I worked to bring in the fish was fun. If you don’t like to sweat or get dirty, then I would say it’s not for you.
