Our son wanted to go fishing while we were here.

How did you get to the activity location?

The location and parking were easy, and right in the heart of Destin.

What was your experience with the activity’s staff?

The deck hands were friendly and seemed knowledgeable of what they were doing. Although Capt. Gibson seemed a little harsh on the kids by repetitively telling them to get their fish over the rail and in the boat or they would loose them. The kids were probably a little intimidated by the heavy rod/reel setup not to mention trying to swing 22 oz weights and sometimes 2 fish at once over a crowded party boat rail.

We have fished with this charter before and are always satisfied. It was the first time with this captain, and he was just a little too salty with the kids and inexperienced fishermen.

Highlights or memories you and your group will take from the trip?

We always meet new people from different places to talk to on the ride out and back in. It’s always nice dropping down and not really knowing what will come up when you reel your line back in. It is always nice seeing kids reactions to catching fish, especially when it is a big fish or something cool looking. There is always the opportunity to catch fish that you have never seen before. We have seen porpoise on nearly every trip and flying fish on a few trips.

Would you recommend this activity to another group like yours? Why or why not?

These trips are usually great for someone who is on a budget but still wants to catch some fish, very affordable, and easy to book.
