The Activity we Experienced
What we chose to do
We saw so many dolphins that just hung around the boat
How did you discover this activity?
I found TripShock on a Google search for dolphin cruises in Fort Walton Beach. The Destin harbor was only a 5-10 minute drive.
When did you book your tour compared to the departure date?
I booked in the morning of the cruise.
Why did you choose this activity?
It was an activity my parents and kids would enjoy and that my mom wouldn’t have to do a lot of walking.
How did you get to the activity location?
We drove, got there at 4:20 for a 5:30 ride but had such a hard time finding parking and finding the booth that we got there at boarding time so we were in the back of the line.
What was your experience with the activity’s staff?
The staff was so nice and helpful. The captain did a great job of engaging the guests on the boat.
Highlights or memories you and your group will take from the trip?
We saw so many dolphins that just hung around the boat! My kids loved it and my mom (who sometimes gets seasick) loved it. I felt completely safe having my 3-year-old stand and hang on to the bars. I felt safe letting my 8-year-old walk around, go below deck and up to the second level. One thing that was a little deceiving was the “glass-bottom boat.” It had a lower level, but it was just 3 little windows and you couldn’t see anything but sand and water. I would not advertise it as a glass-bottom boat. The sunset made the experience so beautiful!
Would you recommend this activity to another group like yours? Why or why not?
Yes! Definitely worth the cost! It would’ve been better knowing parking and what booth to look for so my mom didn’t have to walk so much with her bad ankle, but she had a great time.
