I found TripShock on Google after searching for pontoon boat rentals with captains. I found a great deal on a double decker pontoon boat with a captain to take us to Crab Island.

I booked this excursion approximately 2 months in advance.

Why did you choose this activity?

My friends and I have always wanted to go to Crab Island. We wanted someone to drive the boat since we are unfamiliar with the area. I read that we could paddleboard, swim, and even eat lunch out at Crab Island.

How did you get to the activity location?

We took a short car ride to the bay, our pick-up spot, and walked down the ramp where the captain pulled the boat up and met us.

What was your experience with the activity’s staff?

Captain Gene was friendly and fun. He was very accommodating to what we wanted to do! He made sure we were safe at all times, and even took us on a boat ride to get lunch at a favorite locals spot.

Highlights or memories you and your group will take from the trip?

My friends and I had a blast on this trip. It was fun to do something other than sit on the beach all day. Our day started out with Captain Gene picking us up from the dock. We took a short boat ride to Crab Island.

Captain Gene then set up all of the equipment for us, including tubes, paddleboards, and snorkeling gear. A nice Bluetooth speaker was provided, as well. We played music, slid down the slide on the double decker pontoon, and mingled with people on other boats.

We took a short boat ride to The Gulf where we ate lunch with Captain Gene. After lunch, we went back to Crab Island and spent the rest of the day relaxing on the boat. At the end of the day, Captain Gene brought us back to the dock. We had such a fun and relaxing trip with Captain Gene!

Would you recommend this activity to another group like yours? Why or why not?

I highly recommend booking this excursion. Crab Island is a fun twist on a beach day. Having a captain on the boat made things very easy. We didn’t have to worry about driving, not knowing where we were going, or the equipment. It was a nice, stress-free day.
