How did you discover this activity?

We found TripShock on Google when we searched for activities in Destin. We normally rent a pontoon boat, but wanted to try something new, and didn’t have someone who could operate the boat for us this year.

When did you book your tour compared to the departure date?

We booked 1 day in advance. This was a last minute decision.

Why did you choose this activity?

I was not comfortable driving a boat, and didn’t have anyone in our party who could. It was myself and my children only. Our favorite vacation memories in the past have centered around boating activities, so we wanted to find something similar, and not too expensive.

How did you get to the activity location?

We drove from our beach rental to the harbor, where we easily located the reserved parking spot. The Vitamin Sea is the only sailboat, so it was easy to spot.

What was your experience with the activity’s staff?

Captain JD was amazing, and made us all feel welcome and more importantly, safe. He had extra toys (water guns, pool noodles, footballs, etc.) and even threw the football with my son. He catered to our needs, and gave us complete control over our experience and what we wanted to do.

Highlights or memories you and your group will take from the trip?

The kids all loved being able to look over the edge of the boat and see the fish swimming along with us, or skimming on the top of the water. We saw hermit crabs and other sea life, as well.

The kids also enjoyed jumping off the boat, and I felt comfortable knowing there were no propellers we had to worry about. As a mom, I was actually able to enjoy myself without the constant worry of my children getting hurt. There were ample life jackets available, as well.

Would you recommend this activity to another group like yours? Why or why not?

I highly recommend this tour for everyone! It was relaxing, but fun, at the same time.
