How did you discover this activity?

I found the Dolphin Watch and Destin History Cruise, on a review email provided by Tripshock when they suggested other activities I might enjoy in Destin.

When did you book your tour compared to the departure date?

We arrived on the Monday, booked the tour Wednesday night, and got on board Thursday afternoon.

Why did you choose this activity?

After reviewing and comparing other options the group decided to go with the Dolphin Watch and Destin History Cruise, because it gave us both (a little history and dolphins). The great part is that we got the exact information that we wanted from the history section. Where the good places to eat around the harbor and how expensive it was. We also learned a few neat tips about the surrounding areas and beaches.

How did you get to the activity location?

We drove to the harbor, parked, and walked down the way to the boat.

What was your experience with the activity’s staff?

The Captain was great and made everyone on the trip cheer up. It was all about the kids which was wonderful, that was the main reason we were there. They made it exciting pointing out everything that children are interested in, sharks, turtles, dolphins, and seagulls.

Highlights or memories you and your group will take from the trip?

The dolphins usually steal the show when it comes to excursions such as this one, but my children are vastly different. My daughter will remember the surfing dolphins that jumped in the waves, the babies that we saw swimming by there mommies and the dolphins that were “wrestling.” My son however remembers feeding the seagulls from his hands, and seeing the sharks scatter from underneath our boat.

I will remember their smiling faces, their excitement as they saw “silly dolphin” or “super fast shark”. I will remember how they talked about what they saw for the rest of the afternoon, and the pictures they agreed to take because they were having such a great time.

Would you recommend this activity to another group like yours? Why or why not?

I would recommend this activity. It is money well spent for an hour and a half of fun, for exciting long lasting memories made with your kids.
