We Google searched “Crab Island Excursions” and read great reviews for the SunVenture trip.

When did you book your tour compared to the departure date?

We booked the day before our departure date.

Why did you choose this activity?

We’ve been to Destin four times, and have always seen the boats on the water when going over the bridge and how fun it looked. We had the money this year to splurge on a few extra activities, and this was our family’s choice as one of them.

How did you get to the activity location?

We booked at the location next to our hotel because we could walk right over, but we got a call the day of saying that it hadn’t booked to minimum capacity, and they asked for us to go to the other location that was 6 miles away. This wasn’t a problem for us, we understood the reason, and the staff was very nice and appreciative of our understanding.

What was your experience with the activity’s staff?

Captain Hal was relaxed and friendly, as well as his first mate (forgot her name) who made the trip enjoyable.

Highlights or memories you and your group will take from the trip?

It was just nice to be on the water instead of near the water for a change of pace. Crab Island is a family favorite for many, and just being in shallow water to float or walk around in was fun.

I definitely would want to come back with more family and friends. It was just three of us and my 9-year-old got stung by a jellyfish and wanted to go back to the boat. It was still fun though sitting, sunbathing, and watching all the fun.

Would you recommend this activity to another group like yours? Why or why not?

We would definitely recommend this and we will be back! There is plenty to do for everyone like the obstacle courses and slides or floating on a raft which you can rent or bring. Food and drink is plentiful, and if you forgot anything, they have it for purchase, just don’t forget to bring some money!
