I was using google to find discounts for a family trip to Panama City Beach and Tripshock came up.

When did you book your tour compared to the departure date?

I booked about a month ahead of time right after making the condo reservation.

Why did you choose this activity?

My kids have always asked to go to Shell Island and I thought that having our own boat would be a fun adventure. Plus, with the number in our party we would have spent as much on shuttle tickets.

How did you get to the activity location?

It was a very short drive from the condo we were staying in, just a few miles away.

What was your experience with the activity’s staff?

The staff members we interacted with were all super nice, even going so far as to bring out an old blanket for our dog to lay on while we ate lunch after returning the boat.

Highlights or memories you and your group will take from the trip?

This was our first time ever renting a pontoon boat, even though I have seen the advertisements for years while vacationing at the beach. I was very excited about it and we were definitely not disappointed. The water was very choppy on the morning of our rental, and we quickly learned that it is a bad idea to have too many people at the front of the boat. It caused the nose to catch water and tip the boat forward. Once we got the hang of the boat and distributed our weight around, everything was smooth sailing and we had an absolute blast!

Would you recommend this activity to another group like yours? Why or why not?

Yes I definitely would recommend this activity. Renting a pontoon boat is a very good value for a larger family or group, as the price stays the same for up to 12 passengers.
