The Activity we Experienced
What we chose to do
You Will Not Regret Booking a Pontoon in Panama City Beach
How did you discover this activity?
We were looking for pontoon boat rentals on Google so we could visit Shell Island and we ran across TripShock and found their prices to be way cheaper than anywhere else, and it was within our budget.
When did you book your tour compared to the departure date?
We booked this pontoon boat rental one month in advance.
Why did you choose this activity?
My wife and I have been to Shell Island before on a pontoon boat about 6 years ago while she was pregnant with our youngest son, who is 6 now. So, we wanted to go again since he is older and also take our 4-year-old daughter who has never been on a boat or to Shell Island.
We also remember all of the sea shells that were there and how private the beach was. My wife’s sister also came with us. We all had a blast!
How did you get to the activity location?
We were only about 20 minutes away from this location. We were staying at Springhill Suites by Marriott on Front Beach Road in Panama City Beach. A very short car ride, and we were there.
What was your experience with the activity’s staff?
The staff were amazing. Very professional, friendly, and courteous. They helped us load the boat and unload the boat. They also went over the boat better than we did because my sister-in-law left some of her clothes on the boat in one of the storage areas, and he brought it right to us while we were loading up and throwing trash away. Very nice people and an amazing experience!
Highlights or memories you and your group will take from the trip?
What made this memorable to us was how nice the staff was, how much our children enjoyed the boat ride, and how nice the weather was on the Bay and at Shell Island. Our children noticed some birds following behind us while we were heading across the Bay to Shell Island, and we let them feed the birds some bread. They were having so much fun throwing little pieces of bread up into the air and watching the birds catch them that they were laughing so hard they were crying.
Once we got to Shell Island, they wanted off the boat immediately. We all got into the water and they were just so happy that they were splashing around in the Bay waters that they forgot that the entire ocean was on the other side of the 50-yard island. We told them to come on, that there is something better on the other side, and they were quick to follow. Once we got to where the ocean (Gulf) was visible, they started yelling and jumping with excitement.
They were so happy playing in the sand, looking for shells, swimming and playing that my wife, and I felt very proud of ourselves for giving them a good, fun day at Shell Island. They love the beach and especially the sand. They also love swimming pools! Anything with water and sand you can never go wrong with our kids, or any child!
This part of the trip was the best that we have had, by far. Our first hotel messed our room up so we had to be moved to a different facility, which was a big upgrade. And then a couple days later we had this experience with our pontoon rental and that made our trip worth every penny that we had spent. We will definitely use TripShock for future rentals as they have earned our loyalty!
We strongly recommend using TripShock for any rental needs because you will not find a better price or experience in Panama City Beach. Our family is very grateful for TripShock and FUNPCB for the unforgettable experience that we had.
Would you recommend this activity to another group like yours? Why or why not?
We would recommend this pontoon boat rental to any family who has children. This experience will make your child(rens) day/week. Our children had nothing but fun once we stepped foot onto this pontoon boat. They can look for dolphins, watch other boats, feed the birds that follow you across the bay, and even jump off of the boat when you anchor off or shore up the boat.
We shored our boat so that we were right up onto the beach. The boat is not hard to push off either. If you have the financial ability to rent a pontoon boat for a full, 8-hour day, I would strongly recommend you do it, you will not regret it!
